Global Vaccines is part of our Company’s Human Health Global Marketing organization, a results-driven, ambitious team of commercially oriented professionals who are passionate about bringing our Company's prescription medicines, vaccines, and other medical products to patients worldwide. The Pneumococcal Vaccines Franchise team leads global marketing strategy for the pneumococcal portfolio, including inline vaccines as well as our innovative pipeline assets.
The pneumococcal vaccines market is valued at more than $8B and is expected to continue to grow over the next decade. The pediatric market represents 60% of the total current market value and is a key growth driver for our Company. Our Company launched its first pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) for the pediatric population in 2022 with additional launches ongoing.
The Global Marketing Associate Director for pediatric pneumococcal vaccines is a strategic thinker and problem solver that will be a key contributor to the continued growth of our pediatric PCV business.
This individual works with key divisions across the organization to frame business needs and deliver strategies that grow the business and contribute to our company’s mission to bring lifesaving medicines and vaccines to patients worldwide. This is a high-visibility role, reporting to the Executive Director for pediatric pneumococcal vaccines.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
This role is primarily focused in two areas:
Commercial Supply Strategy
Ensure product ambition and potential, as well as risks and opportunities, are fully reflected in Long Range Operating Plans (LROP) and demand plans
Engage our Manufacturing Division and other stakeholders to ensure sufficient supply to meet expected product demand, including participation in S&OP and Command Center forums
Engage regional & local commercial teams to ensure supply plans fully capture upcoming product launches and market events
Healthcare Provider (HCP) Strategy
Lead global HCP marketing campaign development and refinements (e.g., positioning, messaging, omnichannel tactics), ensuring alignment to master brand
Lead a cross-functional sub-team to develop and maintain the global strategy for HCP-driven archetype markets, including development and tracking of objectives & key results (OKRs)
Engage regional & local commercial teams to pull-through the global strategy & campaign into local HCP promotion tactics
Lead development of the global market research plan, ensuring HCP insights are incorporated into brand strategy
Understand and anticipate the competitive landscape to ensure promotional content differentiates our company’s PCV in a simple and compelling manner
Lead the work of external agencies and internal promotion teams to develop promotional campaigns and assets
Support engagement activities with regional and local commercial teams, including in-person launch and competitive readiness events
The position is based in Upper Gwynedd, PA.
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 5 years local, regional, and/or global commercial functions including marketing, product management, or market access (or equivalent roles)
Minimum of 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Demonstrated leadership/management skills across diverse stakeholders, including those without direct reporting relationship.
Strategic, innovative thinker with a learning orientation and desire for personal excellence
Business acumen and willingness to act even when uncertain of the outcome.
Exceptional communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
Ability to process, integrate, and succinctly communicate large amounts of information, including comfort with data analytics and data-driven decision making.
Strong organizational and project management skills
Proven ability to drive results while demonstrating the highest standards of ethics & integrity.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Vaccines commercial experience, including awareness of medical, legal, and compliance process for development of promotional resources (PromoMats)
Understanding of digital marketing and digital channels
Product launch experience at the market or global level
Track record of successfully competing in diverse markets and developing new markets and/or channels
Travel: ~20% of time

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
