We have an exciting new opportunity in our dynamic Marketing and Communications team, to gain hands-on experience and training while studying a Creative Digital Design apprenticeship.

This is a 3-year apprenticeship programme where you’ll achieve a BA (Hons) degree in Creative Digital Design. With an apprenticeship, we will support you in receiving 20% of your working time (about eight hours a week), to learn and study your programme online.
As a Creative Digital Design Apprentice, you’ll gain knowledge and skills in key areas of Marketing and Communications. No two days will be the same with producing graphic design, social media content, internal presentations, quarterly publications, storyboards, video graphics and more! You’ll work closely with our Bids & Proposals team on exciting opportunities, with your creativity helping us stand out from our competition. Looking out to our market, you’ll help to boost the KBR brand by creating tradeshow displays, brochures, logos, signage, advertisements, annual reports and lots more.

Responsibilities
Creating impactful and eye-catching designs in digital art, digital graphic design, video, online services and installations/exhibitions
Developing designs for a broad range of media including non-screen-based channels
Developing digitally enabled creative design solutions to internal and/or external clients across a range of sectors
Familiarising yourself with KBR’s brand guidelines and using them in your work
Using requirements from internal and external customers to inform your designs
Presenting design concepts to stakeholders for approval
Interpreting client briefs to create and deliver powerful ideas with accessibility requirements in mind
Using market research and user experience input to inform your creative decision making
Familiarising yourself with the KBR approach to design project governance
Discussing design concepts with internal colleagues and teams, including KBR’s Marketing, Commercial and Sales teams
Converting data or stories into creative content for digital channels
Keeping abreast of new technology developments or requirements that could affect KBR’s business such as 3D space, immersive technologies and artificial intelligence
Over time, contributing to strategy around creative direction
Experience Requirements
We are looking for someone who’s found their flair for creativity and originality, who’s happy to suggest new ideas at work. Our ideal candidate will have good judgement, a collaborative spirit and a desire to learn about all sectors of KBR’s business.

Technical Skills/Knowledge
Interest in graphic design, marketing, advertising
Some experience of digital content creation
Competency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint
Some knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or other design software programs
Some awareness of corporate branding, digital media and colour theory
Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A team player willing to contribute ideas
Behaviours/Personal Qualities
Support for others in developing an appropriate balance of leadership and technical skills
Demonstrates resilience, accountability and flexibility especially when managing difficult situations
A passion for creating content for creative and digital media
A strong work ethic and commitment to meet the standards required

Qualifications/Certifications Requirements
Essential:
An appropriate creative qualification at Level 3
5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at grade 4 or above
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, and other design software programs
