About the Role

The RNN Group have started on an exciting journey of digital transformation and we are looking for an innovative digital specialist to lead the way. As the Deputy Head of Digital Services, you will play a critical role in elevating the digital literacy skills of our college community. You will challenge traditional ways of working, teaching and learning, and support the delivery of the Digital Strategy.

As the Deputy Head of Digital Services, you will be responsible for the Digital Hubs and to ensure the group provide an innovative learning and digital environment which will contribute to the delivery of the Group's Strategic Plan.

You will be responsible for the implementation of the digital transformation of teaching and learning, digital hubs, digital staff development, digital pedagogy and virtual learning platforms.

You will lead on the digital aspects of teaching and learning, working alongside the Directors of Curriculum, Quality Team and academic staff to ensure that the digital strategy is aligned with the wider strategy across the Group.

You will be a capable and enthusiastic trainer being able to enthuse, inspire and encourage staff to be inventive and experimental in their use of digital technology in the classroom.

Through a proactive, enthusiastic and customer focused approach you will help the College achieve our mission to lead innovation and skills within our communities, through outstanding teaching and learning. Your work will ultimately lead to a high quality, innovative Digital service plus positive development of the College reputation.

You will

To be successful as our Deputy Head of Digital Services, you will have experience and an excellent understanding of implementing digital technologies including successful development and continuous improvement. You will have experience of leading digital transformation across an organisation, ideally within a further or higher education establishment. A working knowledge of supporting Google Applications would be advantageous.

You will possess a degree qualification (or hold equivalent knowledge and experience), a leadership and management qualification (or have undertaken relevant knowledge and CPD). You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths and have an excellent CPD record associated with the skills required for this position.

Department Info

The role of Deputy Head of Digital Services will report to the Head of IT and Digital. You will manager the staff within our Digital Hubs across all of our campuses. You will work closely with college staff and liaise with external providers to ensure our services on offer are industry relevant and ensure we can meet the needs of our learners, staff and communities.
