A consumer marketing manager or customer marketing manager is focused on managing marketing in relation to the businesses consumer customer base. The role is to increase revenue through marketing to the businesses customers.  The role manages all aspects of marketing across all marketing channels. As such consumer marketers often have to be skilled in a range of marketing methods and also research and data to understand each of the customer segments within the consumer customer base. Consumer marketers will also look for new ways of marketing to consumers and to find new opportunities for product or service development too. 

 

    Consumer Marketing Manager Job Description:

    We are looking for a Consumer Marketing Manager to manage all marketing to our customer based to manage existing relationships and revenue and facilitate business growth. You will help to build and manage end to end all marketing campaigns across a variety of digital and traditional channels and partnerships to drive traffic to the website and increase conversion in the sales funnel.

    For this role, you will be a creative and quantitative thinker. You should be familiar with various marketing techniques across all marketing channels. Your goal will be to develop and implement the most profitable campaigns to position and promote the businesses roles.

    Consumer Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

    • Manage customer acquisition, inlife and retention plans 
    • Manage all channels: online and offline channels including search, display, social, programmatic TV/radio, electronic direct marketing, and affiliate partnerships 
    • Optimise marketing acquisition: reducing the cost and acquiring the best customers for the business 
    • Working with sales teams to understand the day to day success of campaigns
    • Use marketing intelligence, customer insight & analysis to understand their audiences and the effectiveness of their campaigns
    • Understand and report against engagement programme KPIs, Forecast, track, analyse and report on activity
    • Work with key stakeholders across agency and internal parters to find improvements to the campaigns 
    • Use and improve the campaign briefing process 
    • Use test and learn approach to campaigns to ensure continued success 

    Consumer Marketing Manager Requirements:

    • Excellent understanding of acquisition marketing 
    • Strong understanding of all relevant marketing channels: digital (search, display, social, mobile), and direct electronic marketing (SMS, Email, PUSH)
    • Creative thinker and proactive problem solver
    • Proven experience in an acquisitions marketing role or similar role such as a broader CRM role 
    • Ideally a good understanding of Google Analytics & WebTrends 
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail  
    • Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
    • Likely 3-5 years experience in a B2C data-driven and or digital marketing role  
    • Experience working with affiliate partners
    • Experience with campaign execution from concept to reporting
    • Good knowledge of marketing technology tools such as Google Analytics, Salesforce and WordPress
    • A strong grasp of web analytics, A/B testing, and metrics driven (performance) marketing
    • Commercially driven and customer centric
    • Outstanding ability to think creatively, identify and resolve problems
