Job Description
Affinius Capital is seeking an Analyst -or- Associate to join its London-based Credit team. The Credit team oversees originations and asset management across Affinius Capital’s investment vehicles, targeting debt and preferred equity originations, which are secured by acquisitions and refinancings of development, transitional, and stabilized properties located throughout Europe. Analysts/Associates are an integral part of deal teams, involved in all aspects of the underwriting, diligence, and closing of new investments, as well as on-going asset management.
Essential Duties:
- Evaluating prospective investment opportunities
- Generating financial analysis and modeling of debt and preferred equity investments
- Contributing to investment process, being able to effectively articulate investment rationale, execution risks, and prospective returns to stakeholders
- Actively executing (bidding, due diligence, and closing) new investments in Affinius Capital’s credit vehicles
- Performing acquisition due diligence, interacting with third-party service providers, and completing market analysis
- Leading asset management processes, including ongoing portfolio surveillance and reporting functions and assisting in the implementation of business plans, financings and dispositions
- Assisting on fund administration processes and reporting
- Additional duties, as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, advisory, real estate private equity, or real estate finance. Internship experience with a private equity firm, investment bank or bank preferred.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for real estate
- Outstanding quantitative and financial modeling skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Argus is preferred but not required
- Possesses intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously expand knowledge base
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work both independently and within teams
- Must be willing to work on-site and possess the right to work in the UK
- Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job title.
