About The Role
Reporting into the Lead Analytics Engineer the role requires a hybrid skillset across data modelling and stakeholder management. The role works closely with tech teams and business teams to deliver and maintain data assets in Snowflake, adhering to best practice and ensuring business continuity.
The ideal candidate will bring a proactive and collaborative approach to data operations with an interest in learning new skills to support the team’s delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the delivery of new data models in a modern technology stack
- Collaborating with stakeholders from different business areas to understand their requirements and provide appropriate solutions
- Developing existing data models in line with product and engineering
- Upholding the data governance standards
- Supporting the BI and Analytics teams with key data sources required for their deliveries
About You
Essential:
- SQL knowledge (including CTEs and window functions) with experience of writing performant queries preferably in Snowflake
- Using transformation tools, we use Coalesce.io but DBT would also set you up for success
- Modelling structured and unstructured data
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment ideally in a start-up/ scale-up
- Strong problem solving and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desired:
- Experience with data quality frameworks
- Familiarity with finance, credit and associated reporting
- Experience of working with Product and Engineering teams
- Knowledge of testing standards and version control
- Experience with orchestration
This role is remote - The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
