A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled and motivated Band 6 MRI Radiographer to join a well-established imaging department in Manchester. This position is ideal for a radiographer with a strong foundation in MRI scanning who is looking to contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support our client’s patients, ensuring accurate and timely imaging in a patient-centred environment.
What will your responsibilities be:
The MRI Radiographer will be responsible for performing a wide range of MRI examinations using advanced imaging systems, including Siemens Aera, Siemens Viato, and GE Signa. The role involves preparing and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment safely and effectively, and ensuring high standards of image quality. Collaboration with radiologists and other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient care. The post holder will also be expected to maintain up-to-date records, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to a supportive and efficient working environment. Experience in paediatric imaging would be beneficial.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Degree or Diploma in Radiography
- Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience working at Band 5 level in MRI
- Proficient in operating Siemens Aera, Siemens Viato, and GE Signa systems
- Experience working in paediatric MRI is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient care and safety
