An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work for our NHS client based in London, Greater London. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

The appointed Occupational Therapist will be responsible for carrying a clinical caseload and will need to be an excellent communicator in order to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. The postholder will also carry out individual and group interventions on the adult acute in-patient wards. To provide a specialist client centered occupational therapy service to patients. To work as an autonomous practitioner in managing a defined caseload of complex cases independently, evidencing problem solving and clinical reasoning skills in line with evidence based/ client centred principles. To apply specialist occupational therapy knowledge and skills to the assessment of the needs of a given client group. From the assessment, to formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan designed to reduce the impact of disability and ill-health. To provide supervision, teaching and appraisal for junior occupational therapists, assistants, students and other members of the multidisciplinary team. To contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy service.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• Must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• HCPC registration
• Car driver desirable
